Our well-established Lincoln client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Solar PV Surveyor to join its fast-growing team. The successful candidate must be ambitious and keen to establish themselves within the company that delivers a substantial number of commercial and domestic Solar PV installations each year.
The Role:
This is a full time, permanent role, you will be responsible for conducting site surveys to assess the feasibility of solar PV installations on commercial properties. You will also be responsible for developing solar PV system designs, providing technical support and installation detail to the project team. You will report to our Commercial Director and work closely with our project managers to ensure that all installations meet our high standards for quality and safety. You will also be responsible for representing the business with customers and addressing any questions they may have at surveys.
Basic hours are Monday – Friday 08:00-16:00 but must be happy to do additional hours and overnight stays away as required.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys of commercial properties to assess the feasibility of solar PV installations
- Collect and analyse data on the property's energy usage, roof space, shading conditions, site logistics and access
- Generate solar PV system designs using specialised software
- Provide technical support to the project team and answer customer questions about solar PV systems
- Work with the project team to finalise solar PV system designs and prepare installation packs
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of solar PV systems

- Qualifications:
- Experience in the solar PV industry is a plus but not essential
- Understanding of electrical principles and construction codes and/or understanding of buildings’ construction, roof types etc.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent IT skills
- Valid full driver's license
