Due to continued expansion my client is looking to recruit an Engineering Graduate to be based from their office in Gainsborough.
Ideally the successful candidate will have at least 6 months to 1 year experience working within a manufacturing environment and/or shopfloor. Either post degree or having taken a year out.
Your role will be to support the established Engineering team in a variety of functions, including assembly data collection, process improvement initiatives and workstation optimisation.
It is essential you are a ‘hands on’ person who enjoys solving problems in a practical way. You must also be a confident communicator at all levels as you will be liaising with colleague on the shopfloor and senior management.
Key responsibilities:
· Hands-on collation and analysis of technical quality and process data
· Develop root cause analysis methodology and practice for quality and process issues within the warehouse, assembly and shipping environments
· Support projects focussed on continued process and quality improvement
· Support the general preparation for new product introductions
· Identify areas for improvement through observation and data analysis
· Other duties as assigned
Essential qualifications and experience:
· Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
· Practical manufacturing experience is essential (internship, work placement, etc)
Personal qualities and skills:
· Attention to detail with a hands-on approach to problem solving
· Excellent mathematical and statistical analysis skills
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Power BI
· Ability to multi-task, manage their time well and prioritise their workload accordingly
· A desire and motivation for self-improvement and learning
Hours are 08:30 – 17:00 M-F 1 hour for lunch.
This is an office based role in Gainsborough, no hybrid working available.
Salary dependent upon experience.
