Due to continued business growth our client is looking to recruit a skilled, hands-on Electrician to join their growing domestic solar installation team. You will be part of a respected and established renewable energy company, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn everything you need to know about solar installations.
No prior solar experience required, as full training and upskilling will be provided.
As Lead Electrician, you will take the lead on domestic solar PV installations, overseeing one direct report and ensuring each project is completed to the highest standards. You will occasionally support on commercial installs too, gaining even broader experience.
Reporting directly to the Domestic Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for making sure every job is safe, compliant, and delivers an exceptional experience for customers.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Site: Keep all sites tidy, organised, and fully compliant with health & safety regulations.
- Assist with Deliveries and Labour: Help unload deliveries, move materials, and perform general labouring duties as needed.
- Work Independently: Show initiative and self-motivation to manage tasks efficiently.
- Coordinate Logistics: Collaborate with the office team to ensure timely delivery of materials and smooth project execution.
- Install Electrical Systems: Carry out installation of solar panels, inverters, batteries, EV charging points, and perform general electrical work.
- Maintain Accurate Documentation: Keep precise records for all projects to ensure traceability and compliance.

Requirements
You will bring a mix of technical expertise and excellent communication skills to the team. You’ll be hands on, and thrive n working in a fast paced, physically demanding environment.
Essentials:
- 18th Edition qualified.
- ECS Card with additional safety qualifications for working at heights, confined spaces, etc.
- Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid full UK driving license.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Desirable: Experience in the solar PV industry is ideal but not essential – full training will be provided on solar and EV charging installations.
