Our client a well - established charity, is looking to recruit a part-time experienced Cook to work within their hospitality team based at Grantham.
The successful candidate will be supporting the Kitchen Manager to deliver a one team approach to provide well presented, meals and snacks to tenants from the restaurant menu.
Duties: -
- To prepare and serve appetising, well-presented meals and snacks, in sufficient scale, to tenants and their visitors
- Operate all catering equipment in accordance with the safe systems at work.
- To personally comply with allergen procedures.
- Ensuring tenants and visitors are charged for daily sales. Ensuring the takings balance each day and records are accurate and up to date.
- Maintaining records in relation to Health & Safety and Food Safety
- Carry out cleaning tasks independently, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and restaurant.
- Attend and contribute positively to team meetings.
- Training and supporting new members of staff and being actively involved in the induction of new staff members.
- Participating in special events and activities to foster a positive customer relationship.
- Responsible for stock rotation and stock control including checking use by dates and the ordering of food stocks.
- Deliver excellent customer service, being polite, kind and respectful
- Undertake other duties/hours of work as reasonable required and are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
18 hours pw – standard hours between 08.00 – 16.00 with some slight variations.
Weekend cover is usually 1 in 3
Hourly rate - £12.46
Please note the facility provides 7-day cover, 365 days of the year
Requirements
Previous cook/ catering experience is required
Flexible approach to working hours
