Our client a Lincoln based housing association is looking to recruit an experienced Permanent Part Time Cook to work within their catering team, at their new site on the outskirts of Lincoln.
The successful candidates will be supporting the Kitchen Manager to deliver a one team approach to provide well presented, meals and snacks to tenants from the restaurant menu.
Working within the hospitality team you will engage with tenants and help provide events to maximise income and promote social wellbeing.
Duties: -
- To prepare and serve appetising, well-presented meals and snacks, in sufficient scale, to tenants and their visitors
- Operate all catering equipment in accordance with the safe systems at work.
- To personally comply with allergen procedures.
- Ensuring tenants and visitors are charged for daily sales. Ensuring the takings balance each day and records are accurate and up to date.
- Maintaining records in relation to Health & Safety and Food Safety
- Carry out cleaning tasks independently, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and restaurant.
- Attend and contribute positively to team meetings.
- Training and supporting new members of staff and being actively involved in the induction of new staff members.
- Participating in special events and activities to foster a positive customer relationship.
- Responsible for stock rotation and stock control including checking use by dates and the ordering of food stocks.
- Deliver excellent customer service, being polite, kind and respectful
- Undertake other duties/hours of work as reasonable required and are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
27 hours pw – standard hours between 08.00 – 16.00 with some slight variations.
Weekend cover is usually 1 in 3
Hourly rate - £12.46. Based on 27 hours annual salary of £17,493.84
