Due to continued growth our client is looking to recruit a permanent Part Time Warehouse Assistant to be based in Stamford. Hours are Monday to Friday 18 hours and 45 mins per week between 9am and 5pm, with flexibility to up to 25 hours per week in busy periods.
Role Overview
The Warehouse Assistant supports the efficient operation of the production and warehouse areas. The role is responsible for assisting in the production of fluids, carrying out inspection and testing activities, labelling and packaging finished goods, and maintaining accurate stock levels. This position ensures that all products leaving the facility meet the required quality standards and are properly documented.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the production and mixing of fluids according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform inspection and testing of in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Label, package, and prepare finished goods for storage or dispatch.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Keep accurate records of stock movements and report shortages or irregularities to the Production Manager.
- Competent operating a forklift truck.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with company policies.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required.
Skills & Requirements
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality procedures.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and stock control.
- Current forklift truck license.
- Physically capable of handling materials (27 kg drums) and standing for extended periods.
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Team-oriented, reliable, and proactive.
