Due to business growth our client is looking to recruit an experienced Solar PV Commercial Electrician to join their friendly and fast-growing Engineering team.
Solar PV experience is advantageous but not essential, as training can be given to suitable applicants, if electrical standards are to a good level.
As a commercial Electrical Engineer, you’ll be working principally on Solar PV on commercial sites, with a dedicated, elite team, doing all electrical parts of the installations, inspections and testing.
Requirements
A positive attitude, able to efficiently organise and coordinate your work with minimal supervision.
- A methodical approach to work, with the commitment and drive to complete tasks to budget and within specified timescales.
- Strong technical expertise, a passion for renewable energy, and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Happy working in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience presenting ideas and concepts to customers is essential.
Essential:
- C+G Level 3, Apprentice-trained Electrician
- Trained or updated to the 18th Edition Regs
- Commercial experience
- ECS (Gold Card JIB) or equivalent certification
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Creative problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Willing to travel and stay away as required for projects that require this.
Desirable:
- 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification is preferable
- IPAF/PASMA qualifications are desirable
- Knowledge of Solar PV systems is preferable, but full training can be provided
