Technical Operations Manager

Location: Horncastle

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000pa

Hours: Monday to Friday / 09.00-16.00 / 35hour

Holidays: 31 days including Bank holiday. Christmas closure.

Own transport is essential due to office location.

My client has been in business for almost a century and is now at the forefront of their industry in UK. Their core clients include building consultancies, property management companies, fund managers, investors and various independent UK businesses. They currently have 40 employees, 10 of which are based at the Head Office.

Role Overview

Due to expansion, they are looking to appoint a confident, highly professional, able and reliable individual to work with the Operations Director in the running of the operational side of the business. They are interested in the knowledge and experience you can bring to the business.

Core responsibilities and duties - 75% of your work is being responsible for writing and checking professional quality reports for their blue chip clients. Alongside that part of the role, you will be organising and liaising with field engineers, managing teams’ diaries, quoting for jobs, taking client instructions and dealing with queries. We want you to do your best for the company, enjoy your working day, take satisfaction from your job and feel appreciated and valued. This is a varied role involving multiple responsibilities, though no single task is especially challenging for a capable and well-suited candidate.

Qualifications and Skills

You must demonstrate a commitment to excellence and consistently reach tight deadlines. An accomplished level of English language grammar is required together with the ability to produce written reports to a high standard that read well and summarise key arguments concisely.

You should consider yourself as personable, friendly, helpful, approachable, honest, reliable, trustworthy and with a flexible approach to working arrangements. The ability to work on your own and as part of a small team and to structure your own working day to prioritise and meet deadlines will be required as is a willingness to understand the company culture of excellence in our product and top level customer service.

Experience of managing a remote workforce would be advantageous but not essential. Consistency and attention to detail are paramount, however no prior knowledge of the their industry is required as full training will be provided.
